Unsung heroes
So many times a disabled person has an unsung hero. The person behind the scenes that is always there for them no matter what. Often they are taken for granted and thanks is often left unsaid. They're the ones that help get them dressed, help bathe, help with transportation, help with transfers, they make sure they get their medicines, and yes even have to clean up after them when accidents happen. They do it out of love and compassion they have for that loved one. They are there to offer the shoulder when one is needed. I myself am pretty independent but even I need that help from time to time. So if you have an aid, a wife, mother, father, brother or sister, friend or relative that helps you out at times, please take the time to let them know how much you appreciate their help. My family are my heroes they let me be independent and try things on my own but are always there when I need that extra set of hands. But my wife is the ultimate hero she is the one that keeps me going when I have a bad day or feel like the world is against me, she gets me to see the brighter side of life and just looking into her eyes and seeing her smile makes everything better. So please let that loved one know your appreciation!!
