Meet Abel Rose!!!

 
   Meet Abel Rose! He's one of the newest members of Team Box! This little guy had a custom chair made by Mike Box wheelchairs that fits him like a glove. He sits in this chair with a great posture and is able to self propel himself! Mike is starting him young as are most physical therapist as they have found the younger they get movement going for a young one whether they can push yet or not it makes a huge difference in their mobility. Even if they can only hit a switch to propel a motorized mini car they get the sense of movement and it promotes higher thinking and reasoning from the child. Most kids can hop in a chair and the first thing they do is grab the wheels and move the chair back and forth. This is normal function in the brain and some doctors say it is a neurological phenomenon that the body needs movement. Well no one had to tell Abel about this, he looks big, bad, and bold, in his new chair and I think it's awesome that Mike Box and his crew of designers took on this challenge to get this young man moving.
