Goals we all make them, some achievable some not, but the fact of the matter is, we all need them. I have been in the wheelchair now for 23 years and people always ask me if I ever think I'll ever be able to walk again. So I tell them there is not a day that goes by that I don't look at my toes and say move, and concentrate to make it happen. And everyday for 23 years they have not moved. Do I quit or get depressed, no!!! I just look at my toes and say "I'll try again tomorrow!" You see in my mind I feel if your not sending messages down to move your toes to move then why should they? So here's some things I try to do when setting goals:
- Try to make achievable goals
- Have something you can work towards
- Don't ever let that voice in your head say you can't do it
- Seek assistance to help you reach that goal
- And finally just do it, make that commitment!
- Be a better husband, Vickie deserves so much better than me! :-)
- Bowl that elusive 200 game
- Finish my new book
- Speak at more conferences and events
- Get in to better shape
