Driving under the influence

  Driving under the influence how many of you have done it? I'll be the first to admit I have driven under the influence. I thank God I did not kill someone when I did. I know its hard to be the designated driver when everyone is drinking and having fun, but its a life you might save by volunteering to be the designated driver. If you are the designated driver you should not even have one drink! How would it feel to have a couple, be a little buzzed, and be under the legal limit, but be the cause of a horrific accident which takes the lives of a family coming home from the movies. You would think to yourself could I have reacted sooner, could I have prevented this from happening? The simple answer is if you didn't have anything to drink and were in that accident you would be sure that it was not because of those couple of drinks. A split second of delayed reaction could be the second that takes the lives of others. So please take it from someone that has been in a horrific car accident because of a slightly buzzed driver, it's not worth the pain that my friend goes through everyday knowing that because of his decision to drive slightly buzzed his best friend will be in a wheelchair the rest of his life. That's a terrible thing to live with the rest of his life. I have forgiven him but I don't think he has ever forgiven himself. So I hope this Blog might just save someones life when it is read, and make the person driving refuse to have anything to drink. I have made a promise to myself that if  I am going to drive anywhere I will not drink. Please make that promise as well, and arrive alive people!!!!
